Academic Center for Tutoring

Welcome to the Academic Center for Tutoring (ACT) website!

We offer free tutoring services to help enrolled CSU students succeed in math, science, writing, and the humanities. You can read about our mission, methods, and policies on the Mission page and our Policies page. To make an Appointment, please login to MyCSU/OneCSU. To receive assistance with making an appointment, please visit Woodall 104 or call 706-568-2483.

The services of the ACT are primarily for undergraduate students and, to a limited degree, graduate students. Graduate students must visit Woodall 104 for help making an appointment. Undergraduates can log into MyCSU and EAB. See Scheduling an Appointment. We are a pedagogical service, not an editing service.

Go to our Contact page for contact information and hours.

Limited Online Tutoring

Until further notice, the ACT conducts online tutoring for writing only. The ACT plans to revise the platforms, policies, and procedures for math and science online tutoring. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Tutoring Beyond Woodall Hall: @Clearview Hall, @Other CSU Colleges

CSU Students can find more types of tutoring beyond Woodall Hall room 104. Starting February 19, the ACT will host tutoring at Clearview Hall on Sundays and Tuesdays in the evening. See Contact Information & Hours and login to EAB for more detail. Some CSU students and current student may not know that we also offer online tutoring that is asynchronous and synchronous. Visit the ACT Scheduling an Appointment page for instructions. If you're looking for tutoring support beyond what the ACT offers, such as business and computer science tutoring, please visit the ACT More Tutoring Services page.

The ACT has policies related to general staff/client expectations, appointments, and client behavior. Please visit our Policies page to understand what you can expect from us and what we expect from you.

Faculty: Request a Class Visit by an ACT Representative

We will be happy to visit one or more of your classes to describe our services and answer student questions. After a planning meeting with you, we can also perform longer writing tutorials or writing workshops. To have a 10 - 15 minute presentation in your class, please complete the online Class Visit Request Form . All fields are required, excluding the last text box, labeled Specific Instructions/Requests. You use the same form for our longer tutorials or workshops
